And Hello From Me

Hi to All,
I've been a Jaguar enthusiast for many years - fell in love with the S and E Types when they first came out in the 60s and, despite having owned many different makes Jaguar is the only marque to which I have ever returned. My first was a S Type 3.0 SE, Carnival Red, that I bought new in 2001 and kept for 8 years and 120,000 miles of happy, if on odd occasions expensive, driving. About 15 months back I decided to get another as a weekend car and bought my current S Type - Black Bess (for obvious reasons)- a 2002.5 3.0SE with low mileage. I did briefly consider going for a V8 but made a small concession to my green conscience - but not enough to go for the 2.5.
Sadly time and tide have taken their toll and since buying her Black Bess has thrown me a few curve balls and, being a miserly git and unafraid of spanners and oily bits I've learned a few things that may be of value to others.
I'm looking forward to taking an active part in the future.
Cheers,
Cubist
