Well these Jaguars certainly are addictive....
I've just picked up this 'barn-find' 3.0 SE V6 S-Type.
It's been unloved for quite some time spending the past 5 years locked in a barn. The attached image shows it after a good wash down to remove the dust and bird deposits. A quick trip to the MOT station indicates a bit of welding is needed underneath along with a number of new brake pipes.
I'm currently restoring another barn find (actually from the same collection) - a 1996 XK8 Coupe so the S-Type will be next in the queue once I can get the XK8 on the road.....
Watch this space - there is plenty of work ahead, so I'm sure I'll be asking for help along the way !

Hi Neil and welcome, you've certainly got your work cut out having two to do. I,ve fancied an XK8 myself but they do suffer from the dredded tin worm.

Thanks Jeff
Yes - having 2 Jags to restore is a bit of a task..... I'm not sure whether it's a sign of insanity !!
The XK8 is proving a challenge after being static in a barn for the past 5 years.
The S-Type was in the same barn and was at risk of being scrapped. It has some restoration needed - not the least of which is corrosion at the rear of both sills - but it has only covered a genuine 73000 miles, so I thought it deserved saving.....
