After A Year Away With No Cat

Hi, after selling my last Jaguar in 2012(V12 XJS) i am now the proud owner of a 2004 3ltr SE Auto.
I have remained a member of the Club as i new i couldn't live too long without the best marque on the road.Having had quite a few different Jaguars of the last 20yrs i have been driving a Mercedes 300CE 24v for the past year.
I have never owned the new S Type and i am really looking forward to driving her,she won't be ready for this weekend at Newby so all i can do is look lovingly at her in the garage.

Hi, I also have an S-Type 3.0 ltr Sport, 2003. Although not having owned a Jaguar/Daimler since the 1970s (and also owning a 1979 W123 Mercedes Coupe) I have also kept a keen interest in the big cats and finally took the plunge nearly three years ago. I may be biased, but the S-
Type is the best car I have driven since the Mk2!! (and believe me, I have driven just about every marque and in most European countries in the 47 years I have been driving).It even felt like a Mk 2 when I sat behind the wheel. It still makes me smile every time. From what I can see - a few people do encounter some difficulties - one would with ANY car - particularly after putting a few years on. (We do too - don't we?).My independent Jaguar Specialist (with some 30 years experience) told me the other day that they have never been out to recover a broken down S-Type that was un-driveable. May be something in the water round here - but it sounded good to me. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
