Replacement of front suspension bushes

Postby PARKIE007 » Sat Mar 02, 2024 12:35 pm

I am about to change all the front suspension bushes for polybushes on my 1958 XK150 FHC. I have already done those on the anti-roll bar, but am a bit circumspect about removing the upper and lower wishbones and the torsion bars. I would love to have a step-by-step guide, or failing that, any tips or advice on specific pitfalls. I intend to do one side at a time to ensure I don't mix the two sides up and I know I have to mark the splines on the torsion bars to ensure they go back in the same position. Do I need any special tools? I have a selection of new split-pins and will renew all those I remove. Any help will be very much appreciated.
