Hi, all;
I've a 2003 (MY in Canada) XJR, and usually post on the X308 forum.
I'm posting here under the XJ Series Saloons because I'm trying to complete my tool role on my 1975 Jensen Interceptor, and I'm three King Dick screwdrivers away from that end. I wondered if there might be some owners here who have collected tool kit parts over the years and have some spare King Dick screwdrivers from this era that they're willing to sell, or are willing to share contact info for a supplier who might have them.
There are three screwdrivers in the 1975 Interceptor tool kit:
-- A Phillips head screwdriver, about 6 to 7 inches in length; with a solid grip (not translucent), possibly bakelite, orange or perhaps red in colour, which may have KING DICK in white lettering on the grip;
-- A slot-head electricians screwdriver, about 6 to 7 inches in length, with a translucent or opaque grip, light yellow in colour, with KING DICK in white lettering on said grip; and,
-- A slot-head screwdriver, about 6 to 7 inches in length, with a translucent or opaque grip, light golden in colour, again with KING DICK in white lettering on the grip.
I keep an eye on eBay.UK and some King Dicks come up from time to time, but I’ve not yet encountered these three types.
If anyone has one or all of these screwdrivers and would like to sell them, or has a good source for vintage tools that might have them, please do let me know; vintage King Dick tools are rare on the ground here in Canada and seemingly in the US, too.
