There's just too much bad history on the original AED unit (AUH300) that it's too risky getting a second hand one. Unless guaranteed to be "tested and working". SU re-designed this unit later in production, Gurlen sell them at £285. Many folks have just used a solenoid in the choke feed line as the simplest way

Got offered one from a scrappy but that turned out to be for a Daimler -- those were the only XJ6 varients to offer
an individually-shaped (like the fronts) rear bench
