Series 3 door skin n/s/r new

Postby Orkney » Mon May 12, 2014 12:04 pm

I have a brand new genuine Jaguar door skin for XJ series III. It's for the near side (Left Hand) rear door. It will only fit the other side if you turn it inside out :D
They are for sale on a well known auction site for £150 I will take £80 for it, but you must collect it from Southport, Lancs or arrange your own courier. I am in Orkney, but my friend in Southport will deliver in the area for fuel cost. Too delicate to trust with most delivery services.

PM me if you would like to buy it. I can supply pics, but I can assure you there are no marks or dings anywhere and no surface or other rust either.

As we are the firm on that well known online auction site - I can confirm what a bargain price this is :)
These panels went obsolete years ago - very hard to source now.

Best of luck, and kind regards,
Keith

Many thanks for that Keith, I hope it goes to a good home and completes someone's restoration. I think I bought it about 20 years ago and it has been in dry storage since then and even got moved to Orkney without incident (in my own van though!) I don't think I'll ever own another series 3 - although Daimler double sixes are still very attractive!

They are great cars and are starting to be truely appreciated again.
I'm sure it will go to a good home. Its so cheap - I would buy it for stock - if I didn't already have some :)

Keith,
Will that panel fit a LWB Series 2 ?
I guess the door frame is identical but the door handle aperture may be a problem. What do you say.

Hi Oldtimer,

Yes - the panel will physically fit - I think there are some mods needed around the top of the door frame.
S2 LWB skins are available however.

Kind regards,
Keith
