2 X Jaguar XJ6 saloons possibly for sale in Manchester

Postby steviemac » Sat Dec 05, 2009 9:34 pm

While out and about yesterday, I came across two Series 1 XJ6s in Manchester. They are in the yard of a general garage and the owner has indicated that they would be for sale. The first is a Lavender colour on a L reg. It,s all there but has been standing outside for some time. The second is silver XJ6 which is looking a little rough ( rear screen rotting )but has apparently had an engine rebuild. While I'm very tempted, I simply don't have the space for any more cars at present. Give me a call on 0161 485 3374 and I'll pass you the owners name and phone number. He didn't offer any prices but stated he'd listen to offers.
I have to say I'm very sorry to see that no-one has posted any messages since my last one in November. Am I missing something and all the chat etc is happening on another forum?

Hi Steve, and seasons greetings!
I hope you get some interest in the 2 XJ's, it would be good if they go to a good home before the 'banger' boys get hold of them!
I have read elsewhere on this forum thats its a bit quiet (!) . The 'Jag-lovers' website forums are apparently busier, although I don't use it myself.
Did you get your Mot sorted out? I'm hoping to get my new petrol tank fitted over Xmas-thats the plan anyway!
Regards
Steve

Thanks Steve, hope you managed your fuel tank in the cold weather. I've only got a car port which means that all work is suspended on account of the fact that it's freezing. I think that a couple of bushes will be all that I need for an MOT, the other things are not MOT'able...is there such a word? Have a good new year and enjoy your Jag.
