Hello all,
Just took the Jag out for a run and noticed some cold coolant coming out from the front of the car. (Just a little).
So, I think I will just replace it along with the thermostat. (As the heating is poor).
Do you know where I can buy one please? Or the part number?
I found plenty for a V12 but not for a straight 6.

My advice would be to get your existing one re-cored. This is where your existing end tanks are removed from your current radiator and fitted to a new core. The advantages are that it will probably be cheaper than a whole new one, you can specify an uprated core to give your more cooling capacity and you will know that it will fit when you come to put it back in.

I had a chap called Bagshot Radiators recore mine for the V12, I was actually shocked how much it cost over an Ebay aluminium upgrade, but I lost courage about buying one of these and plumped to have it re-cored and upgraded. That way I was sure it would fit without issues. The guy in is Odiham, 01256 862 002.

Thank you for the information.
To be honest, I thought it would have been easy to find a radiator for a Jaguar xj6 but found that not case.
One chap said that he could re core mineat the cost of £300.
Im not sure, if that a good price or not?

Re: Jaguar series 3 XJ6 Radiator.
I had a quick look on various sites.
SNG Barratt do a reconditioned one for £550. This would effectively be what you would get if you have yours re-cored. It doesn't say if they would give you anything back on your old one.
They also do an aftermarket aluminium one for £843.
David Manners also list an aluminium one for £768.
All of the above are not in stock and would be special order.
I had one done for my XJS in 2015 and it cost about £200 + VAT.
So £300 looks OK?

Re: Jaguar series 3 XJ6 Radiator.
A couple of years back I had an XJ-S V12 rad re-cored by Bryan and Son in High Brooms near Tunbridge Wells 01892 544635. Very old school place that gets lots of vintage and veteran work. Can't remember what I paid it was around £150-£200 I think. He also brazed my XJ6 expansion pipe when I broke it trying to get the hose off. Otherwise you could give XJ Restorations in Eastbourne a call and they can probably offer some local suggestions.
