Submerged Pump Hose

I have a 1977 XJ6C with submerged pumps and have a persistant problem with the right hand side not working. I have checked the pump and it seems OK, but I think the problem is with the fuel feed pipe that comes from the pump (in the wheel arch). The pipe apears to have a non-return valve inside it. I have contacted Jaguar and a couple of other parts suppliers, but it is no longer available. Anyone know of where I can get a new one?

The non return valve is incredibly simple. It is nothing more than a ball bearing in a small tube with tapered ends. If you have some replacement fuel hose to hand, take the old hose off, with nrv inside, and cut the valve out. About the only things that can stop it working are corrosion or dirt. Cleaning it and putting it back may work.

Thanks for the advice. I think I may have got it working again by cleaning it and blowing it through. I need to put some fuel into the tank and try it again.
