Fuel problems Daimler Coupe

I have an issue on my Daimler D6 Coupe. The rh tank is not feeding enough fuel through and the engine loses power. Two questions, 1) where in the boot area would the actuator valve be located? and 2) if it’s electrical how easy is it to remove switch from dashboard? Many thanks in advance.

There are several different fuel pipe feed and return arrangements fitted to these cars dependent upon carbs/FI etc. The changeover valves can be found on the boot floor near the fuel pump. However, a not uncommon problem is failure of/dirt in the dashboard changeover switch. This can cause issues like activation of the tank selection valve but not of its equivalent return valve. Remove the switch from the dash and either give it a good clean or replace it to eliminate it from the diagnostic process. The changeover valves can be tested by unplugging them and applying 12v directly to them, listening for the click as they open or close. Mike.
