I have recently aquired a 1972/3 Daimler Double Six Vanden Plas Series 1. It is in amazing condition and near concours. It would however originally had a vinyl roof but the previous owner didn't like them so didn't replace it during the cars restoration. I do have a new original vinyl roof and the chrome fittings for the car but am in two minds as to fit it or not as the car looks great without it.
On reflection I am probably 60/40 in favour of fitting it at some point as this would be correct for the car but do not have the skill to do it myself. Does anyone know of someone in the south of england (I am Hampshire based) who would be able to carry out this work to a high standard. Also does anyone have any idea of the cost for such work?
