Looking for set of rear lights for XJ6s2

[rybicki.grzegorz586]

Hi guys
Looking for a new set of rear light for family's XJ6 series 2. Tail lights are not a problem, I've found quite a few places where I can buy them but reverse and reflectors are hard to get. Few popped out on Ebay but in quite horrible state. I would need new or used in very good condition. Any ideas where I can find them?
cheers

Good morning,

I'm having the very same issue as your good self.

Although I think I may have a trick up my sleeve, which may take some time but I can keep you posted on my progress - if I actually achieve any that is!

I have found a man that will carry out rechroming to that awful Mazak (aka - Monkey Metal) - he has discovered that he can weld up the pitting and perforation of the castings and then rechrome the casting.

I have also found that I can take the whole assembly apart and then pout it all back together again - its a bit time consuming but it can be done.

I have also found a source for the rubber seals - both for the body and the clear lens.

So I should end up with a brand new looking fitting.

If your interested in my progress I'll keep you updated.

Regards

Ian
