Im having a few problems with my heating a/c.
My Daimler A/C compressor was working after being stood for 29 years then just stopped.
My problem is that I have no heat in my car. The heater valve was stuck but now is free. ( WD 40 ).
However there is no vacuum to the heater valve?
There are two vacuum pipes that are under the battery and go inside the car.
There is vacuum to one of them only?
My heating vent only work on wind screen and the and foot well.
Nothing from the central vents.
Im wondering if this is why I have no heating inside and the A/C has stopped working?
The water pipes going to and from the heater valve are hot, so how water must be flowing through the heater matrix.
Heater vacuum problems.

If the compressor isn't working, it sounds like you have two sets of problems, 1 - aircon and 2 - the heating controls, which are relatively complicated. The only real way forward will be to start by trying to solve the control issues first and then tackling the aircon.
The vacuum controls move various heater flaps to direct the fresh air through or past the heater matrix or to blend the air flows to achieve a given temperature. Consequently, it will be necessary to establish whether the problems are mechanical (stuck flaps) or vacuum related (failed actuators/ holed pipes). Next in line for checking should be the various temperature sensors and finally, by a process of elimination, the aircon amplifier. Get hold of a workshop manual to work your way through a logical test process.
If you sort the controls, the aircon issue could tested by assessing the mechanical condition of the compressor and pipework etc before moving on to regassing the system and possibly replacing the expansion valve and dryer but this latter work is best performed by experts with the correct equipment because releasing aircon gasses to atmosphere is illegal and can be dangerous.
