XJ40 Oil pressure sender

I have a 92 XJ40 Sovereign with low oil pressure indicating on gauge. I suspect sender unit. How do I get old unit out?. I have cut my hands to pieces trying to get the thing out. Any ideas

This one is intended for the pre '87 six cylinder cars (and the v12s to '92)

I think a 17mm open ender with a little bit of a bend on the shaft is required. Or, if you can beg or borrow a crow's foot, that should fit too.
