Needed - X350 LHD Zenon Headlamps
I have brought over to Germany a rather nice X350 and in order to pass a German MOT (TÜV) I will need to fit Zenons for a LHD car. Can anybody help to source a pair at a reasonable price.

Unless you're prepared to buy new, approx £900 a corner, I think your best bet may be to check out the used market in Germany, eBay maybe?

I would agree with that.
LHD parts will be few and far between here in the UK. The European breakers are likely to be a better bet.

I didn't know you were not allowed to retrospectively fit Halogens?
You may be better also scanning the US/Canada Jaguar support sites -- Jag Lovers is one...

Have managed to find various used Zenon units. The big question is the difference between the unit for the early cars up to VIN G40555 and the later models after VIN G40555.
My car is a very early model VIN G40555. Does anybody know the exact difference. I will of course be fitting a pair of Zenons.

Be aware that if your car is originally halogen equipped, then you will have to go to some lengths to modify the system to accommodate Zenon units with their ballast units. The parts supply chain will be better placed to let you know what might be required for such a conversion.
Again as regards part number for early and later cars, I would suggest you fit the appropriate parts for your model year. I doubt whether anyone on this board will be able to tell you from direct experience what the differences are. Again the parts guys may be able to advise. Where ever possible, try to stick to parts for the appropriate model year. It is not just the mechanical differences that may catch you out, its also the electronic components that vary from year to year. Fitting the wrong part can cause total electronic confusion and hair tearing at your end!
Eurojag who break these cars would also have first hand knowledge of differences. A phone call to them with your VIN identifier will be necessary for them to advise and supply any good used parts.

Firstly, many thanks to all for their comments and help. I managed to source the required headlamps through the incredibly helpful Richard Wenink at Jag Parts and Cars in Holland.
From my searches I have the suspicion that there must be a vast number of different headlamps (and therefore part numbers) for the X350. Zenon, Halogen, early or late VIN number, LHD or RHD, and different spec for UK Euro USA and probably Japan.
The most interesting difference between headlamp models is in the connector plug.
My X350 is a very early 2003 model. There are 9 cables in the wiring loom and 9 Pins in the plug on the original RHD British headlamps. The replacement unit from Jag Parts and Cars has the same connector but only 6 pins.
According to Richard Wenick my 9 pin RHD unit has an additional height adjustment mechanism and can be ignored when connecting a 6 pin unit. He was correct.
My new headlamps work perfectly and the car has now passed the German TÜV (MOT)
