Adding a modern satnav X350

I have it in my tiny mind to add a (second) satnav, leaving the existing one to a life of rest in its own home; the integrity of the driver and passenger accommodation will therefore not be compromised.
I don't know if a very smart automotive electrical engineer will be able to achieve something suitable here.
Dismissing for a moment the idea of a suction set up on the screen; some years ago in Germany you could get a car radio, which came attached to the end of something which looked like a gear lever, or flexible desk lamp. Said rod/lever/base was was bolted under the dash, led up into the area of the central console, from where the 'business end' could be moved up, down, left, right, or back and forth and the buttons pressed as the driver wished. The actual radio was mounted out of sight and harms way. It was a very smart (expensive) piece of kit, and made by Grundig I think.
Does anybody have any ideas, suggestions, do's or don'ts, or any other advice about this subject please? Would appreciate your input.
