If anyone has a leaking boot or water ingress please email me for a copy of a Jaguar PDF covering the problem. I have been unable to upload it to here.

Most cars have a plastic membrane stuck with flexible sealer to the inner door frame panel with cut outs for door linkages, cables etc.

It might be that if the door card has been previously removed and some works carried out inside the door, the membrane may have been torn or not replaced correctly. In such an instance rain water will almost certainly run down the inside of the door and flood a foot well. I`d remove the door card and see if such a defect exists. Either fit a new membrane from Jaguar or make one up from a piece of stout builders DPC material. Obviously ensure sealer is present all round the membrane to attempt to fix such a problem. Take a look and see what you can find.
