In praise of Nationwide autoglass. XJR front screen replacement.

A small stone chip and creeping crack led to me contacting my insurance company to arrange for a new screen to be fitted.

As promised, two Nationwide vans turned up this morning to do the job. Left a key with my Mother whilst I took the old man to hospital to have his eyes looked at. Returned to the house to find the screen changed with no fuss or bovver. Apparently the fitters were here about half an hour and had the work done in a jiffy. A nice tight job, no damage and with interiour of the car unmolested. Just a good solid job. Well pleased. Five Star recommendation to the company.

So thats two birthdays the car has enjoyed this week. One new screen and a new header tank. It all keeps it up together.

I recently had the screen of my Mk2 shattered (toughened original!). Nationwide were the insurers nominated fixers. Took them a few days to find a replacement. A brand new laminated one was fitted by an older gent who had an 'apprentice' turn up to watch as he had never fitted one. They said they do lots of MGB's but not many other earlier cars and there is little chance to learn so this was the ideal opportunity. They did a great job and took about 1 1/2 hours.
