Hi all I've noticed that the two front door seals have split on x350.firstly are these known as the primary door seals. Is there a way of repairing them or do they have to be replaced. should they be bonded on or crimped on. and finally where can buy them.

Re: door seals
Wear and age take their toll.
I think you will find you can just pull them off. Sometimes a bit of contact adhesive is applied.
These items will only be available new from a Jaguar Main Agent or Jaguar Classic Parts. Be prepared to be shocked by the price. You may get discount if you say you are a JEC member.
It is worth contacting Eurojag who advertise in our magazine for used parts. They break damaged cars and may be able to find you a decent set of secondhand seals at a reasonable price. They only sell quality used parts and their service and advice is excellent.
You can also try Andy at Auto Reserve. He is another good used parts supplier. Then of course you have eBay. Always worth a shot.

Re: door seals
I recently replaced the front door aperture seal. (That is the seal attached to the body.) As mentioned by someone else, be prepared for a shock on price. However it is a fairly complex part. There are there colour variants. Mine happened to be Warm Charcoal. The part number is C2C40006LEG. I forced mine from David Manners, who also give discount to JEC members.
Very easy to fit. Only took about 15 minutes. Do not be tempted to cut the seal if you think you have too much. It means that is not fully pushed home somewhere!
