Jaguar black paint codes on modern cars.

Ok, its Black. Which one?

Look on the white sticker inside the passenger door shut, on the A pillar. The paint code is on the bottom left of the sticker.

Commonly found codes as below.

Ebony Black. 1AT/PEC/1807
Ultimate Black Pearl. 1AG/PEL/2103
Cosmic Black Metallic. 1BF/PNG/2219
Black Amethyst Pearl. PVS 2132
Midnight Pearl but often known as Midnight Blue. PEF 1959.....confusingly, this paint has loads of dark green in it! My 04 XJR is this colour.

Good old Halfords. Just been to my local store. They have let their core paint stock diminish to useless levels. No restock for another week. They have been turning punters away in droves. One has to ask how such a large National chain could possibly get their prime material stock to drop to such low levels. So I`ve now sourced an aerosol can of PEF via ebay. Halfords loss and my irritation for a wasted journey.
