So my 03 Super V8 has a mind of its own in regard to the suspension height. I sometimes get an ‘air suspension fault’ on the dash and sometimes ‘vehicle too low’ red light. The car is slammed and wont inflate. You can drive it for miles and it wont inflate. Then it just inflates on start up as if there’s no problem. When it chooses, sometimes it chooses not too work on a day id like to use it…. I went to the car today and it’s been left for 2 weeks and all the ride height was exactly how i left it. Perfect. I drove to Burnham and it dumped all the air from all 4 corners.
I’m stumped…
There are no leaks as the bags stay inflated…
The pump works as I've tested that.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks
Rik
Air suspension madness
Re: Air suspension madness
Have you checked that the ride height sensors are firmly mounted on the brackets and that the brackets are also firmly attached? Other that that the only other thing I can think of is an intermittent fault in the distribution valve block.

Re: Air suspension madness
Another possibility related to BrianG's suggestions - damaged wiring or loose connectors in the ride height circuitry, It seems to sometimes be getting the signal for too low (causing the message) and possibly sometimes too high (causing it to deflate the system to try to reduce the height).
Note that if it gets one or more sensors at max height, the system enters jacking mode, and won't operate until all sensors signal less than max height. If a rogue sensor was intermittently stuck at max height, that might explain the sporadic behaviour.
