Aircon condenser

I have been told I have a leak on my condenser which needs replacing, 2004 4.2 XJ8. The aircon guy says get one off eBay and fit it then he will commission and service the system. Anyone replaced one of these? Is it a diy job?
Any advice welcome.

I`ve no experience of this repair so can`t comment.

Having Googled, "Jaguar X350 air conditioning condenser replacement", there are a number of threads on the subject. Well worth a bit of time looking through them to pick up hints, tips and general advice.
