Winter tyres

Postby iRS » Mon Aug 29, 2016 9:37 am

Need a favour: Can someone scan and post the page in the handbook detailing wheel and tyre sizes and winter tyre spec? I didn't get a handbook when I got the car earlier this year and my thoughts are now turning to winter motoring. I have 19" wheels so anticipate that I will need a smaller size for winter tyres. Thanks, Roger

Mike, thanks for such a quick reply. Interesting info there I see for all cars. However, it doesn't specify winter tyre spec and I assume the handbook would do so, so it would still be useful to see the pages in the handbook. Many thanks.

Roger,

The X350 2008 handbook specifies the following winter tyres:
235/50 R18 101V: Continental Conti Winter Contact TS790; Pirelli Snowsport 240; Pirelli Sottozero W240
245/45 R19 102V: Pirelli Snowsport 240
255/45 R19 102V: Pirelli Sottozero W240

If you need one, you can get an electronic copy of the driver's handbook and other publications online from the Jaguar TOPIX site: http://www.topix.jaguar.jlrext.com.
Select English language, then on the right most tab 'Browse TOPix without registering'. Select the model and year from the drop down list and then select documents. For non registered (i.e. free) users you can get most of the owners handbooks as PDF documents. (No you can't get the workshop manual!)

Regards,
Brian

Brian, many thanks for that. Useful to know that the manuals are available online.

A quick correction: it seems the URL is: https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/user/loginForm
