sunroof control panel 2006 XJ Sovereign

As a result of water damage/leak, I need to replace the sunroof console panel (also includes rear blind control, P alarm and interior lights) and have been given part number C2C18612SEL, however as yet no luck sourcing `used' one in the UK.

However, I appear to have sourced one in the US, which from the photograph seems to be the same (sunroof, rear blind, P alarm, interior lights) but seller is showing part number SEL#261993673375 supposedly for Vanden Plas XJ 2005 - 2009.

Would the sunroof console panel on a 2006 XJ Sovereign be the same as XJ Vanden Plas 2004 - 2009, as they appear to have the same layoout/switches?

Do US Jaguar XJ's have different part numbers for the same components or whilst the photograph indicates it is the same, does the part number need to be the exactly the same, irrespective of where the component is sourced?

any help would be appreciated

Alistair,

As you probably know, the "SEL" part of the number is your trim colour code. (I think that's Champagne). That US one that you have quoted is just the colour code with the ebay item number on the end. I don't know but suspect it would work fine.

I'm surprised you can't find one in the UK. Have you tried Eurojag and all the breakers listed in the mag?
