B1471 - Headlamp -open circuit/short to ground - SOLVED

iCarsoft 930 gives error B1471 - Headlamp -open circuit/short to ground. The car was imported to Germany and needed the Euro spec headlamps. The original UK spec headlamps had 9 pins and the new ones only have 6. This is because the new ones do not have the integrated self levelling feature. The new headlights work perfectly and the car has now passed the german TÜV (MOT) but I am puzzled by this error. It suggests to me that there is a control module somewhere which needs to be flashed and re-programmed for the new headlamps. Anybody had a similar problem with this B1471 error code?

This I have discovered is due to the original UK headlights had a 10 pin connector and 10 connections coming out of the loom plugging in to a 10 pin connector on the back of the headlamp.
The replacement Euro spec headlamp had the identical connector but crucially only 6 pins.
The UK headlamp had a solenoid (to dip the main beam) which was presumably using the other 4 pins.
I stripped down the UK units and reversed the flap which was being activated by the solenoid. This makes the lights dip now to the right for driving in Europe. I re-fitted the reversed UK spec lights and firstly the B1471 error is no more.
But much more important there is no longer the dreaded error Air Suspension Fault coming up on the Speedometer.
