Good afternoon, my model does not have the wonderfully convenient heated windscreen, just the standard one. It is cracked on the left hand side and whilst not an MOT failure yet, I'm guessing it will deteriorate to the point where I will need to replace it.
Does anyone know whether it's possible to install the heated windscreen and if so how big a job is it? There is no switch on the dashboard, so that would need putting in, but would the whole thing require wiring as well?
Thanks very much,
Tim.

Suspect it will be quite a large job as the control unit would need to be changed for one with the button for the heated windscreen. Really couldn't say a bout the wiring but probably will require that as well.

Re: Retrospective installation of Heated Windscreen
Good morning, thanks for your response and I think you’re right. I’ve asked my Jaguar mechanic, in case the crack in my windscreen does deteriorate.
The other option I have of course is to trade mine in for a Sovereign spec model, but having kept it so well maintained over the years and electric cars now not too distant future I’m loathe to part with it.
I will post here if I do manage have the heated windscreen successfully installed.
