Rear view mirror and door ones

Postby jookul100431 » Wed Sep 04, 2019 9:34 pm

Hi all

Just looking for a bit of advice on how the mirrors normally operate...and no I don't mean look in them and see your reflection πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

First the rear view mirror I have a 2007 sovergin diesel and I thought the mirror was auto dimming bit the other night... actually my first night driving in the dark....the mirror did not dim. How do I know if an auto dimming rear view mirror is fitted or are they standard and I have a issue...

Second question is about the wing mirrors. O have the auto fold option turned on and I expected that they would auto fold when I locked the car...they do not, I need to press the lock button a s cond time for them to fold...is that normal or should they fold in on the first press of the lock button on the fob

Thanks again for all the great support

I believe that all X350/358s have auto dimming interior mirrors; there should be a sensor on the upper centre of the mirror glass. Try wiping it.

The powerfold mirrors are operating normally.

The first press on the fob locks the doors. The second press double locks them, so then it winds the mirrors in as it assumes you're leaving for some time.
