Changing X350 instrument cluster?

Postby programoms247 » Sun Jul 14, 2019 1:20 pm

Hello everyone. Need some advice. I want to change IC on my 2004 XJ6 from mph to kmh. I have sourced a kmh IC from another XJ6, but stuck with some problems. As far as I know, the most simple way is to copy eeprom data from one cluster to another. But my indie technician wasn't able to read data from eeprom with any of his tools. Maybe someone knows, which microchip sits in IC and which tool to use for programming eeprom data? What other alternatives do I have in order not to loose mileage and avoid new IC programming to the car?

A very specialist area you are working in. I`d suggest you speak with BBA Reman at Rochester and see if they can help.

This sort of work is something few of us here will have any experience of. You are certainly in deep, hence needing professional assistance.
