Hello all, I have a leaky oil cooler on my 2003 super v8 and am looking to change it out myself. Has anyone tried this before, easy or skin off knuckles job?
Can anyone advise?

Kind regards
Nick

Hi Nick, check out the information on the XJ-S Section regarding a similar issue to yourself. The link below should take you there.

The oil cooler lives ahead of the coolant radiator; It's just nuts and bolts to change, but will take a few hours owing to having to get the radiator out of the way first. Depending upon how Jaguar decided to route the air conditioning pipes on the day your car was made 8) , you may have to discharge the a/c first.

The following guide will help you reach the point where the oil cooler is accessible and removal obvious.

There may be some detail differences between your car and mine; if you're lucky you will not have to discharge the a/c. Bon courage.

Thank you to both Jim and Phil for some really useful help. Will order a new one tomorrow and fitting it will give me an excuse to escape the mandatory family festive frivolities. Bhar humbug!
