First wash and polish

Postby jimdox » Sun Feb 04, 2018 5:59 pm

Well as today was the first sunny weekend we've had since I got my Sovereign a month ago I decided to give it a good wash and polish. Last Saturday I was in halfords and noticed they had a deal on a Meguiars Mirror Bright Kit for £36. The kit consisted of Meguiars Mirror Bright Automobile Shampoo, Bright Polishing Wax, Detailing Spray, Wheel Cleaner and a bag for keeping all your cleaning gear together, I didn't but it at the time but it was on my mind until midweek so I decided to pop beck in to but it. Normally this kit seel for £60 not but buying individually not including the bag it is over £70 so a bargain I think. any way I went to town today and used all the products and delighted with the results so I have posted some photos of my hard work. The paint really pops in the sunlight

Notice the difference in the colour of the car when it is in the shade.

Well done! Looking good!
I went out earlier to knock some of the muck off my Audi but the wind coming off Salisbury Plain didn't encourage hanging around so it only got a quick going over with the pressure washer and that was it! Doesn't look as good as yours!

Thanks David. We've been lucky up here today as it's been very sunny which is a nice change. I think it's the first dry day we've had this year.

Very nice indeed, Jim.

I did a clean up on my XJR last year using Clay Bar to initially remove the grot. Here is the thread for your interest.viewtopic.php?f=292&t=11033
