XJ6 SE or Sovereign

I am in the process of purchasing a 2004 XJ6 3L which is listed by the dealer as a Sovereign. It has a large number of extras which makes it top of the range territory, BUT the V5 states it to be an SE, no mention of Sovereign. Also a search on the DVLA web site also quotes SE. So, my question is when does a SE become a Sovereign for a 2004 XJ6 ? Thanks Frank Hollis

I think the spec on X350 causes a lot of confusion, since it seems you can order any of the kit as options anyhow, and lots of XJ8 or XJ6 badged examples seem to be very highly spec’d.
I would suggest that the badge on the back would give you the answer to the question though.
if you know which specific equipment you want, and the car has it, I would think the badge is less important per say?
