Hi Doug could you repost the link please as it does not work
Barry...apologies, it wasn't a quote just a different colour to highlight quote from Magazine, also used italic text like this but as you can see it does not show up as well as on other sites.
I did check on 'Jaguar World' web site, to see if the test report was on line, unfortunately its not.

well, I have an XJR, confirmed, obviously a high spec car, which is nice, one of our members had been doing some digging on X350 vins, it appears that there are, as I thought, certain vin characters that identify each model, hopefully Paul will chime in with his findings

update, two tyres now fitted Pirelli P Zero Rosso's they were, plugs, all filters, new wipers, oil change all done with my local guy, who is as good if not better than a main dealer and at 30 quid an hour a damn sight cheaper, also refixed broken undertray mounts, all levels checked , discs and pads checked, all pronounce "quite new",

So left to do, one wheel to refurbish, it;s not bad but has a bit of laquer lift, I will wait until my two other P Zero's won on ebay last night for 109 quid turn up, that will give a fill matched set of four, and the best Pirelli Assimetrico left will go on the refurbed wheel as a spare, and the otehr one of these will go into "stock" for a rainy day

just loving this car now, after 500 miles, starting to feel at home with it, the interior has well and truly grown on me, and even with my leaden right foot we are seeing nearly 24 mpg on local short stuff, which compared to our previous 350, 308's 300's and 40's is more than respectable

Rob,

The Xclusively Jaguar Vin decoder is a good start but it's not absolutely correct or complete.

We are working on a comprehensive X-350 VIN decoder which is accessible when members update their membership records with their vehicles. It's already been launched in draft mode by Webman for members use and will be refined as we apply a more definitive model identification process in the coming days / weeks.

Paul, good plan, I will remove this decoder when we are happy with yours and webmans new and improved decoder for all to use, just give me the nod when you are 100% happy with it

what a beauty.
I`m like Barry I prefer the wood effect but the red leather looks great.

I`m not jealous.

I feel the appraisal a bit harsh. Nearly at walking stick stage me self having acquired eyes like cod fish and half on me way to becoming a boffy old git. I think I need one.

I can soon sort the suspension out.
