12MY XF-S Ride

Postby latebreaker » Thu Aug 09, 2012 4:02 pm

I had an 12MY XF-S for the day and adore everything about it...especially the revised front end....apart from one thing...the ride.
Compared to my STR, it was bordering 'Im taking this back to my dealer'. I blame the Adaptive Dynamics. I've driven a 12MY Non - S and that rides better but still doesnt compare to my STR.
A pre 12MY XF-S without Adpative Dynamics rode acceptably to me.

Jaguar Spires offer a comfort suspension setup to cure this, which I would consider if I was to purchase one.

I have a Portfolio S and like the adaptive system as it sharpens everything up for 'spirited' driving. How did you you find it with the adaptive system switched off?

Hi Paul,

I thought it was slighty better in non-Dynamic mode, but still unacceptable to my tastes. I think whats happened here is I've been spoiled by the ride in my STR and suspension set-ups seem to have got stiffer.

I dont mind the stiffer ride when in Dynamic mode, but when on the motorway, I just want it to ride like my STR.
