Messages on 2010 Diesel XF

I have just had a message saying 'Service Required'. It is exactly one week to the anniversary of its previous service, so would I be right in thinking that this is a time-based notification rather than as a result of any condition monitoring function?

The only other messages I've ever had in my two years of ownership are 'Dynamic Mode Engaged' and 'Smart Key Battery Low'. I can't see anywhere where there is a full list of messages which could be displayed - is such a list available, please?
