Radio code

I have just acquired a 2012 XF 2.2 Diesel Luxury from a private vendor. He does not have any trace of a radio code in the documentation. If the battery is disconnected in future do I need to enter a code as I did with my S type or is it not needed with this model. I know about the code for the valet button! If I need a code who do I get it from please?

No, you don’t need a code. If the battery is disconnected all you need to do when reconnecting is the reset the memory functions, the windows and the EPB.

Phew! Thanks, big relief as this baby has just a few electronic gizmos, most of which I am slowly beginning to understand! Love the car though, especially the S button allied to flappy paddles!!!
