Mega mile XF 2.7d

I had a brief drive of a 2008 XF 2.7 diesel this week that had well over 250k miles on it. Yes it had a few issues (sat nav screen kept turning off and on again, no air from the centre vents, dash vents stuck open) but I was astonished at how well it drove and how well the interior had held up. Despite over a quarter of a million miles of bottom scuffing the seats were still in great condition. They were obviously polished shiny but the bolsters were in good condition and the warm charcoal finish was intact. There were very few squeaks and rattles and it drove really well.
I've no idea of the service history of this particular car but it struck me as one that hadn't been pampered but just used and maintained.
These cars obviously stand the miles very well!

yep, got to agree my, 2008 358 is now about to click 200K, still going strong

and don't forget the 405K miles 358 that has been featured on here before

Not at all uncommon; my first E type had done 287,000, to my knowledge when I sold it more than forty years ago, and I have taken many Jaguars past 300,000 since then.

It was an auto - there was not a manual option in those days - but I've no idea of its service record or even if it was the original gearbox (or diff).
What struck me the most about the car was how well the interior had stood the miles, the seats in particular
