Rear Screen Wiper

Is it just me or do other XF owners find the lack of a rear wiper frustrating from time to time?

I have to say that when I had an XF saloon I never yearned for a rear wiper. The angle of the screen and the airflow always did the trick. Of course you don't get the mess on the rear screen on a saloon as you do from the vortex on an estate or hatchback.
Maybe you should try a treatment like Rainex?

I think I need to move house. Devon lanes don’t allow for speeds high enough to create the necessary airflow......and then you have to back up and the rear screen has almost zero visibility. Once on the main roads the screen clears OK but just when you need a quick wipe there’s no wiper there!

Maybe you’ve identified a gap in the market Rod. Design and sell retro fit rear wipers and make your fortune. :D Or..........change cars...... :wink: :lol:

My rear view has a spoiler view so does make much difference anyway. That aside, I think the air flow does clear it fairly quickly I find.
