eco Stop/Start not working

2015 XF Sportbrake 2.2 has been in main dealers for Eco Stop/start failure, 4 days and they cannot find out what is amiss, Jaguar approved car and Warranty runs out in two weeks, How do I stand if they cannot find the problem and it goes past warranty period. I have been offered Jaguar extended warranty but it is expensive would I have to take this out to make sure I am covered, Any one had experience of this problem?

Assuming it's not simply switched off, if the battery is even slightly worn out it will stop working, check the fitness of the battery. You probably would not notice the degrading of the battery having no trouble starting the car. The further it degrades more alarms will occur e.g. DSC not available, ABS failure are some examples and you will still be able to start the car no problem.
Re Warranty :- Firstly as the car has been in to the Main Dealer under warranty and they haven't been able to fix it your warranty is valid until they do no matter when the date of demise of the Warranty occurs. Secondly they need to escalate the fault to JLR if they are not capable of doing their job.

They are escalating as of today, Battery is OK, They now think it is the module, I would have thought just about every thing has been checked by now and finding it difficult without the car,going to ask for it back until what is decided.
