Re: annoying ticking noise from interior rear
Hi There,
Can you provide more details of the circumstances in which you hear this ticking noise? e.g. ignition on but engine not started, engine running but cold, engine running and up to temperature, etc.
There could be number of explanations so any details you can provide would be helpful.
Cheers,
Cubist

Hello thanks for your reply .
the noise is from the rear interior of the car when I go over small bumps in the road its not from the engine for sure its the rear interior

Hi Gordon,
Safe to say that the ticking noise only lasts 2-3 seconds during/after hitting a small bump then?
If so, the only thing that comes to mind is perhaps is perhaps a loose cable that may be swinging around inside a body cavity after hitting a bump. If possible could you open the rear door to its full extent and rock the car side to side as heavily as you can, perhaps with someone to help by listening for the source of the noise? If no joy that way then maybe bouncing the car on its suspension could reveal the location.
Hope this helps.
