Re: XF Car of the Decade
Just acquired a 2.2 diesel XF to replace my S Type diesel (sorry Mike) early days yet, but initial impressions and fuel consumption (48mpg) are very good. Pity Clarkson does not seem to like it (Sunday Times yesterday) but then Autocar and almost everybody else does.

Hi David
Please can you keep me up to date with your 2.2 experiences - hope to "borrow" one for a day soon (to do a write up).
Clarkson - whos' he?

Re: XF Car of the Decade
If Clarkson doesn't like it it must be good....
Just not a 5.0litre R so he dismisses it I suppose.

Re: XF Car of the Decade
Hi, I have an article in the December issue of the JEC magazine giving some initial impressions of my car. Only one problem has occured and that was since the artcle was prepared. This required the replacement of the drivers door lock which my local dealer (Hatfields) undertook quickly, under warrenty of course.
There do seem a lot of XFs about now and with the Sport Brake on the way things are looking really positive for Jaguar.
