I have added a photo could there be something missing that fits in the square indicated.
I'm will be replacing the pins that rotate the latching hooks as they are worn, and a sleeve to help take out play in the handles.

Does anyone know how the locking mechanism on mk9 boot locks, key turns but nothing seems to move anything.
I have added a photo could there be something missing that fits in the square indicated. It could be totally nothing to do with it just don't see the reason for the square hole???
