That's a hell of a lot of car for the money but I would need to get planning permission for an extension on the garage to fit it in.

I'm ¾ way thru renovating my second Mk IX (with a 4.2L lump in it ex-420G and a newly refurbished box)
Then it's onto the re-build. All the woods and chromes are done. And apart from four small areas body and chassis complete.

But some klutz cut (yes cut) all the instrument cables so as to get to the back of the heater / demister / cabin-side air intake area to re-weld. The cables aren't colour coded. There's only 37 of them...

That project's had to take a back seat while Owen's finished -- now in trim shop

Must be a nightmare having all black wires to sort out .

Appreciate it was difficult to get to the cabin side of the airbox without cutting some of the wires to allow the instrument binnicle to be swung away -- but all 37 of them? And without any number tags being put on? Most are green canvas covered heat protected thick wires.

Both Owen's body shop and I tried to find a decent leccy to take it on but no go so far (north Hants, Liphook area if anyone knows someone) Luckily it's my home trade although I'm just a bit old and rotund to fold and unfold myself nowadays... But once done it'll be good. And a surprise configuration too
