Anyone got a spare rim they can let me have for a consideration?
Putting a "space-saver" in the boot would look naff 8)

Speaking of naff, had to put a pair of new front tyres on my previous Mk IX -- but the best I could find were commercial tyres with the chunky tread at the side. They looked naff against proper radials on the rears ...
Are there any modern-size equivalents that don't cost a kidney for a set of four / five?

Hi Richard,
You don't say what size of rim or tyre you are requesting advice for. Also is your query for an E-type or a Mk 10? If an E-type, which model, as there were several different options.
Can you be a bit more specific please?

Thanks for the reply... Erm, this is the "Other Models Mk VII, VIII, & IX" forum? This is for a Mk IX.

Tyre size in the owners handbook is quoted as "6.50/6.70 X 16 Road Speed"
in the "Operating, Maintenance and Service Handbook" (price 5'-)

Thanks for any more info, today's equivalents, and of course needing a rim for a spare

Opono, who I've used before have come back to me to say that they can do Nanking -- anyone know them?

More important, are they good for my rims?

Found a rim. Will pick it up today. Ex a Mk VII

Regarding Nanking tyres, haven't seen any adverse reports. But have put the Mk IX on the back burner for the moment.
