Vertigo colour?

What was the colour (color even) of the Mk VIII's green in Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo?
Some say it's too light to have been a Sherwood Green. And definitely too light for any
of the BRGs available as export colours in 1958.

There's one mention in the US forums that it was a Riley green. That same thread goes on to say that as Technicolor® was in its infancy then having only been used by Disney in prime colours before, Hitch wanted to have a continuity of green throughout so gave the Mk VIII a blow over and had some parts of Kim Novak's and James Stewart's wardrobe together with various set items all in the same green.

I tried 'phoning Heritage last year but didn't get anywhere.
As it was nothing to do with E-type I suppose...

Since that's probably the Jag that's had most worldwide film coverage would hope someone's in the know... The San Francisco sunshine together with the specific arc lights Technicolor required could change the car's colour. But not that much shurely, Madeline?

That looks the same as the engine colour from my MGC when I had it.
There is a picture half way down the attached thread, looks like it was a Chrysler colour possibly.
