The new (digital) track and cars are simply so much better than the original analogue sets. There can be up to 6 cars on track at the same time, even all 6 in the same lane, and with 2 x lane changers, racing can be quite competitive - if you can avoid crashes.
The cars are much truer to life than previously and on the current layout the XKR is around 0.7 seconds faster on a lap than the XJS, which is probably down to the fact that the XKR wears wider rear tyres - scale details correct. However, the XKR is beaten by the Ford GT by a further 0.5 seconds per lap, which is seriously quick.
Perhaps the XJS driver just needs more practise.
