Postby jBlackwell » Mon Aug 20, 2012 10:29 am

Hi all,
Anyone on here planning on going to Mallory Park on the 26th August?
Just wanted a heads up as I'm taking my family.

This was my first visit to a JEC racing event but hopefully not my last. Mallory is a great little circuit which puts you right on top of the action.
My thanks to Terry and Roger for making my wife and I welcome - hope we didn't get under your feet too much! The competitors and crews are a friendly (most of the time  ) approachable group and put me in mind of the truck racers of the 1980's.
There were a few Jaguars in the car park but I feel maybe these weekends would be a good chance for local groups to have a get together and support these people who spend their hard earned cash to entertain us. Might even sign up a new member or two.
Looking forward to Donington in 3 weeks.

Hi Redcat,
I am glad you enjoyed. Terry and co work very hard to provide us with a spectacle. I enjoyed, and Mallory is a fantastic track as you rightly say.
Castle Combe in October is a track of similar atmosphere and accessibility.

My family really enjoyed too, generally hard work keeping a 3yr old, 5yr old and 8yr old entertained after a 5am start, but the racing manages it wonderfully.

My brother and I were there in our cars Daimler Double Six and a S-Type. We tried :)
