PAS/Transmission fluid leak please help!

My DD6 coupe has a leak from the union at the top right hand (drivers side) of the radiator. It's leaking ATF or gearbox fluid everywhere. I have now replaced the hose and clips but where and what do I refill?

Many thanks

Jon

Well, on mine that would be the automatic gearbox cooling line, so check the ATF level in the gearbox.

But while you have the ATF bottle out, why not check the PAS reservoir, anyway?

Great thanks!! Could you tell me is there a particular type of fluid for my car? It has the BW box.

Many thanks

Would that be the BW12?

If so, according to an article by Bob Bate in April 2005 Jaguar Enthusiast, the original spec was Type F but this has now superceded to Type G.

Personally, I have used Morris Oils Liquimatic DII ATF http://www.morrislubricantsonline.co.uk ... product=31
in both my BW66, GM400 and ZF boxes.

Great Link, Al. Nice one.

Useful for all types of lubrication needs.

Buying mainstream badged brands is one thing. Buying alternatives to the same specification at more affordable prices can only be to the good.
