Can anyone advise the correct pressures? It sits on Pirelli 4000s. Many thanks!

By now, your car's tyres must be flat! However, the workshop manual for the XJ12/XJC lists the standard pressures as:
36 fr 32 rear for speeds above 100mph
or 36 36 above 100mph + a full load.
Also, pressures may be reduced by up to 7psi fr, 6psi rear when 100mph will not be exceeded. Personally, in the UK I run my XJ12C at 30psi front and 28psi rear. Higher pressures improve the handling at the expense of comfort but they lead to greater wear of the tyre crowns, especially on the rear tyres. Mike.

Hi Mike, I know its a little bit late to acknowledge your advice, (computer and website glitches conspired to lose your contribution), BUT, thank you for your help. Its currently being re-shoed with Avons and with the correct pressures will go like a train!
