Hello, I have been a member of JEC for a few years, but new to the XJ forum.
I have just purchased a 2002 XJ8 SE. I have been looking for one for a while now.
It just needs the bonnet respraying and central locking control fixing, previous owner
has given me the part.
I will hopefully have it back from the workshop and ready to go within a week or so.
Can not wait to take it for a drive.

Hi, Great to hear from another member in the North Wales area. As we now have more activities in our locality we can take our Jaguars to hopefully we will meet up at one of them soon? Criccieth Cars and Coffee is on Sunday 11th September 11am if you fancy a nice drive out?
Always a few XJs there.

Hi the Wales North Region meet at The Royal Oak, Higher Kinnerton, Chester, CH4 9BE. Second Monday of each month @ 8:30pm. The representative is Roger Hill email helenahill@btinternet.com details are also in the magazine.
Depending on where you are located in N Wales will determine how accessible that is for you. For those of us based in the West we are looking to start something up to enable us to meet closer to home. email me on xtype@jecmodels.org.uk for more about this.
Also, there is the Criccieth Cars and Coffee every second Sunday which is open to all makes and ages of vehicles.
Dave

Welcome Julie, you will find the wealth of knowledge from members an essential tool on the care of your car, they have helped me no end! well worth the membership fee on its own, and thats without the discount from suppliers like SNG Barrett, I reckon I save more than the club fee from parts bought during projects.
Good for you saving another XJ from the scrapyard.
I have a Super V8 which looked marvellous, but the clouds were gathering, I had a real decision to make as the repairs wer going to outweigh the value of the car, I had to save it! This just goes to show the emotion a Jag evokes.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,

I can understand your passion for the car.
They do evoke emotion.
Jaguars,to me especially the older models, are a thing of beauty.
Your beautiful car was well worth the expense to save.

My car needs a little TLC inside and I am currently having the bonnet resprayed,
but to me worth every penny.

Kind Regards,

Julie.

Hi Julie, I am a member of the North Wales region and a regular attender at the monthly meeting. Roger Hill have been poorly recently and is no longer the local representive. The club magazine entry should now be changed to show a new contact! In the meantime I can be contacted here or at "alexander.gurney@btinternet.com" You will be most welcome at our meeting. We are a small, but knowledgeable bunch, who do a lot of hands on stuff with our cars.Alec Gurney.

Our November meeting will include a presentation by Barry Wills of DeLoreon fame! he will regale us with his stories of the saga. We meet at 7:30pm, but there will be folks eating before the talk/meeting begins. Alec Gurney.
